In bad weather is the Vancouver Aquarium (http://www.vanaqua.org) one of the best places to go. The Aquarium is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of aquatic life.
Newest exhibition is called Jelly Invasion and introduces Jellyfish from various locations. Despite the fact jellies are slimy monsters, I was always very big fan of them. I remember when I was child we went almost every summer to Bulgaria. My favorite activity at that time was catching jelly fish and dry them on the sun. I was very curious what happend with the beautiful blob when it dryes out. Today, I cannot remember what the result was. My excitement rised when I find the 'Bulgarian jelly fish' in one of the Aquarium tanks. Here they are:

The proud of the Aquarium are dolphins. Dolphin show runes few times a day together with Beluga show. Here one of the Dolphins under the water ...
... and during the show.
Both shows are very interesting and demonstrate the activities in the field of environment and sea life protection. Children will appreciate the 'Rescue corner' where they can discover various activities related to rescue and protection of dolphins and other sea creatures.
The Aquarium is not only focused on under-water life, but shows some other animals as well. Most of the animals are very relaxed like this otter (I hope it is an otter). I only do not understand why is he relaxing with the blue belt.
And I shall not forget the 4D cinema experience. The show 'The great Salmon Run' is just amazing. There are moments when you feel like a salmon 'climbing' up the river.
